Gees Adventures children Book Illustration

1. This is Gee! Gee lived with her mum in a big white house, on top of a very big hill with a veryverybig garden.
2. Today was Gee’s birthday and she was very excited. She had been talking about her birthday for weeks. Gee ran downstairs to see her Mum.

“Happy Birthday Gee” said Gee’s Mum, giving her a hug

All of a sudden there was a knock at the door!

1. Gee ran to the door and when she opened the door she saw a big parcel on the doorstep.

“Who could this be from?” wondered Gee.

Gee picked up the parcel and took it inside to open.

1. Inside the big box were lots of different things, all for Gee’s very verybig garden.

A small shovel

A watering can

Some packets of vegetable seeds

A container of ‘plant food’.

And a hat with the big letter G on the front.

But who gave Gee this wonderful present?

1. G put on her hat and asked her mum to help her read all of the instructions on the seed packets. 

“Oh no!” cried Gee’s Mum “The seeds say to plant in Spring”

Gee knew that because the weather was still a bit cold that it can’t be spring yet. “When will it be Spring?” asked Gee

“Not for a few more days” explained Gee’s mum

Gee sighed and was very upset that she couldn’t plant her seeds yet.

1. The next few mornings Gee woke up and checked the weather through the window. The sun was out and it was getting warmer. This meant that it was getting closer to Spring. For 7 days, Gee marked off each day on her calendar, and she knew that each day she was getting closer to Spring. Until one morning, it was finally Spring!

1. On the first day, Gee planted carrots and beans and lettuce

On the second day, Gee planted broccoli and spinach and tomatoes

But on the third day…
